Hello, family & friends!
We are here in beautiful Copper Mountain, Colorado- enjoying the incredible scenery and tolerating the very cold temperatures! :) We stayed in for a while this morning to watch the Hogs play in the Cotton Bowl, but decided after the 3rd quarter we'd have more fun skiing!
We went to the top part of the mountain, and were quickly overwhelmed with what we had gotten ourselves into! Matthew and Andrew did ok- taking it slow, and finally getting the hang of it again! They both ended up skiing with Reed and Rhonda and their boys, while Randy helped me and Sam. The altitude is affecting us, I guess. We both felt sick- could've just been nerves, I guess. We skiied about half way down, doing the last little bit on our hind-ends! Sam & I both decided that was the most fun we had all day!!!! LOL!!! We made it to the snack bar/restroom and took a good long rest. Randy checked and found out that we could take the lift down the rest of the way- we quickly agreed!!! It was a beautiful view down the mountain! Randy skiied the run right below us, so we watched him ski down...
Tomorrow we will be heading over to the 'green- family zone' area- it should be much much easier!!!! We are staying in the condo tonight- the boys are outside playing in the snow- there is a place just out our back door where they can sled a little. We made baked potato soup and beer bread, and plan to veg out around the TV and fireplace! I am going to try to add some pictures on here- we'll see if I can figure it out!
Hope you all had a great New Year's Day!
We love you!
Cynthia & crew
