Well, this week has not been easy for any of us. Things have progressively gotten worse with Brian. Without getting into too much detail, I'll just tell you where we are as of today.
Brian in resting comfortably at home. He is now on a morphine drip to keep him comfortable. He is sleeping most of the time. He is not taking any more steriods. The hospice nurse had a meeting with the oncologist and it was decided that the steriods were probably not helping anyway, and they just made Brian very agatated. There have been a flood of people coming to the house to see Brian and the family. You can truly feel God's grace in their home. From what hospice has told us, and from what we have read in the information that they gave us, we think Brian may only be here one or two more weeks.
Kristina was going to talk to Makayla tonight. We left the house around 8pm, and she was trying to get herself prepared for what I think will be the hardest thing she has ever done. Please pray that Makayla will be able to voice her concerns and emotions. She has seemed very detached to all of this so far. Pray that Kristina will know how to comfort her and Brayden.
Thank you so much for lifting us all up!
