Brian has finished his second full week of radiation. He is handling it very well, just experiencing some fatigue. Kristina told me this morning that he is beginning to lose his hair... but it will grow back! She said she is getting him some hats for Christmas! Makayla said that she hopes his hair comes back in PINK!!! :) Brian will finish up the radiation treatments on Dec. 26th. The radiologist told Brian that he is doing very well, and is pleased with the way he is handling the treatments.
Brian will be having a CT scan on Friday, Dec. 28th on his liver, addressing the spot they found on the PET scan. We are praying that when they look at in again, there won't be anything there, or that it will be minor. Please keep praying! Several friends have brought meals, which has been much appreciated.
On another note, my grandmother "Dandy" is probably going to be joining Jesus in Heaven very soon. She has been in the hospital, but will be going home today under Hospice care. She is very ready to go be with Grampy in Heaven. I went to Little Rock last Thursday and was able to visit with her. We will all go back down to Mom's this Friday for Christmas, if not before. I'd like for the boys to see her one more time... but it may not happen. I just pray that she will go peacefully, without pain. She has been with us for 93 years and I feel extrememly lucky to have had her in my life for almost 39 years. She has been a mentor to me- a true Proverbs 31 lady! I will miss her greatly, as will our entire family. Please pray for God's grace in this... and also for my Mom. This has all been very hard on her, especially with Christmas right around the corner. I just think that Dandy really wants to spend Christmas with Grampy this year in Heaven.
We are looking forward to the Christmas break- maybe not as 'joyfully' as usual, but it will be nice to spend time with family. We are leaving on Dec. 30th to go to Copper Mountain, Colorado. The boys are excited about seeing alot of snow and skiing! It will be nice to get away. There is something about being in the mountains- it makes me feel very close to God...
