Hello, all-

We got some very disturbing news this evening from Kristina- Randy’s sister. Her husband Brian (Hamilton) has been having severe headaches since right before Thanksgiving. For those of you who may not know or remember, Brian was diagnosed 3 years ago with Melanoma. It was contained to just one lymph node which was removed. He has gone in every 6 months for checkups, and has been free and clear of anything else. He called for an appointment because of the headaches and ended up seeing his doctor’s partner on Tuesday. They did a CT scan and found two ‘abnormalities’ on his brain. He had an appointment with HIS doctor tomorrow (he was out of town)- but he called Brian this evening and told him that he didn’t like the look of things and that Brian needed to be at NARTI tomorrow (Thursday) to begin radiation treatments. He will also see the doctor tomorrow, I think. I am going to meet Kristina and Brian at NARTI in the morning at 10am, so that I can sit with her while he gets treated. PLEASE pray for them. I think Kristina is in shock right now- she was very calm on the phone. I asked if they had said anything to Makayla (she’s 7), and Kris said that she knows that her daddy has had bad headaches, and they told her tonight that the doctor was going to try to fix some things. Brayden is 2, and he is too young to understand any of it.
